about
Writing "Light the Candle" was a new approach in songwriting for me...Inspired by the thought of performing in the beautiful Craigdarroch Castle, and the majestic, peaceful feeling that this vision generated, the song started to emerge. I decided I would let the song evolve, in its own time, without pressure or criticism, and see what would happen. It came, bit by bit, very gently and sweetly...without 'me' having to force a thing. Imagine that :) The recording was created with the same spirit of gentleness and organic evolution... together with my lovely musical friends Kate and Dallas....Hope you enjoy it! Peace to All xo.
lyrics
Light the Candle
Say a little prayer
Feel the warmth inside your chest.
Now light the fire, sing the song you hear
Let the music take us higher.
We will remember
All that we once knew
Buried deep inside these hearts, so old, so new
We will discover
Treasures buried there
And all that lies, waiting for the light
Beneath this, ground so bare
Light the Candle
Say a little prayer
Feel the warmth inside your chest, slowly rising
Now light the fire, sing the song you hear
Let the music take us higher.
We will surrender
Every hope and every fear
Welcome in, everything
All the laughter, all the tears
We will awaken to
All the beauty of this place
Let the love, just reign down from above
And gently, kiss our face
Light the Candle
Say a little prayer
Feel the warmth inside your chest, slowly rising
Now light the fire, sing the song you hear
Let the music take us higher.
We will surrender
Every hope and every fear
Welcome in, everything
All the laughter, all the tears
We will awaken to
All the beauty of this place
Let the love, just reign down from above
And heal us with pure Grace
